Alabama Adult & Teen Challenge is a faith-based addiction recovery program that has been helping men and women break free from life-controlling issues for over 50 years. We offer a comprehensive 12-month residential program combining Christ-centered discipleship, therapeutic counseling, and vocational training to address the spiritual, emotional, and practical roots of addiction.
Our program requires a minimum 12-month residential commitment. This extended timeframe allows participants to build a strong spiritual foundation, develop healthy coping skills, gain real-world work experience, and establish lasting support relationships—all essential for long-term recovery.
Our 12-month residential program has a $650 intake fee. Beyond that, there is no charge for housing, meals, counseling, spiritual development, or vocational training. We do not accept insurance because we provide faith-based discipleship and life coaching rather than medical or clinical counseling services. Our admissions team at 205-763-0909 can discuss financial arrangements during your pre-screening process.
While our program is Christ-centered and based on Biblical principles, you don't need to be a Christian to apply. We welcome anyone struggling with addiction who is willing to participate in our faith-based approach. Many participants discover or deepen their relationship with Christ during the program.
No personal digital devices are allowed during the program, and tobacco use is not permitted. Initially, participants can make two phone calls per week to family. Visitation is approved only after the first two months. These guidelines help create a focused environment for recovery and spiritual growth.
