I am originally from Bradenton, Florida. When I was twelve years old, I began experimenting with drugs with my older brother. At fifteen, I was on the receiving end of a twelve-gauge shotgun that nearly took my life. From that incident, the State of Florida took me out of my home and placed me in a ninety-day rehabilitation program in Bradenton. My parents divorced and my life just steadily went downhill. At the age of twenty-six, I found myself a full-blown intravenous heroin and cocaine addict. I had been in four other rehabilitation programs at this point with no success.
I came to Alabama Teen Challenge in December of 2001. The Lord radically changed my life! I was saved December 30, 2001 and filled with the Holy Ghost on January 15, 2002. I received my call to preach the moment I entered Alabama Teen Challenge. I have never relapsed or compromised my walk with The Lord. A Heroin and Cocaine needle has never been back in my veins. I haven’t ever returned to the lifestyle of drugs and alcohol. I am 18 years clean and sober this December because of the Blood of Jesus.
I became a minister with the Assemblies of God in 2004. I have served in many different areas of the church from children’s pastor, youth pastor, associate pastor and lead pastor. I have also worked with the ministry that God used to change my life, Alabama Adult & Teen Challenge for going on 9 years as the Program Director.
I was married in April 2005. I now proudly have four children. My wife and I serve in the ministry together as a team. She has also been an Assembly of God minister since 2001.The Lord has blessed me; from the moment I was saved my life has never been the same!
